RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 has many hidden items and weapons, and two of the handiest - and most stylish - can be found quite close to the start of the game.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is full of really useful items that may not be immediately obvious, even to the most eagle-eyed players.
Two of these sort-of hidden items are the Broken Pirate Sword and tricorn hat - both which can be seen quite early in the game if you know where to look.
First, you'll need access to Saint Denis - the game's major urban area. Wait until the game takes you here naturally as part of the story so you don't ruin a great reveal.
Where to find the Broken Pirate Sword
Once you're in Saint Denis, simply look to the south of the region on the map and locate a small grouping of off-shore islands.
Head to them, and locate a run-down boat, typically surrounded by alligators. Come armed with a small shotgun or decent rifle - these critters are incredibly dangerous.
The boat can be found between the land masses of the islands, sticking up, next to a skeleton - the assumed pirate.
Take the weapon, and head on to find the tricorn hat.
Where to find the Tricorn Pirate Hat
Make sure you have $360 on hand to buy yourself a boat at the camp.
You'll then need to head to Flat Iron Lake, and take your boat out to the island located in the middle of the lake.
You'll see a pirate ship stranded on the northern part of the island.
You can board the ship and search the inside portion to find the hat - and your pirate costume is complete!
